Business Continuity Manager (Global Insurer)

We seek an experienced risk professional to join our client, a well-known, global combined insurer. This role presents an exciting opportunity to enhance their Business Continuity and Crisis Management Programme, ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with industry best practices.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years in Business Continuity and Crisis Management, a strong understanding of industry standards, and the ability to work independently.

Reporting to the CRO while working closely with the wider risk and compliance leadership team (CISO, CCO, etc.) the key responsibilities are as follows:

• Develop and implement Business Continuity and Crisis Management plans and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including those from the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
• Conduct regular testing and training exercises to validate plans and enhance preparedness.
• Foster a resilience-based culture through education and awareness initiatives.
• Contribute to the long-term resilience strategy, balancing risk mitigation with cost-effectiveness.
• Provide regular reporting on resilience activities to relevant stakeholders.

About You:

• 5+ years’ experience in Business Continuity and Crisis Management.
• Certificate in Business Continuity (CBCI) or working towards it, with BCI membership at ABCI level or above.
• In-depth knowledge of industry best practices, standards, and regulatory landscape.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Proven project management and organizational abilities.
• Experience in IT Service and Physical Security Continuity Management.
