March 8th has become synonymous for all women around the world, each year comes improvement and more awareness but there is still such a long way to go. This year Fortis want to continue to #BreaktheBias when it comes to gender, stereotypes and discrimination. Gender bias is something we at Fortis discuss often, as we strive to ensure we are always attracting and working with the best possible candidates and colleagues no matter the gender.
We live this bias at times, our clients are sometimes shocked that we have an all-female Technology division, yes you heard me right, an All-female technology division. This should be surprising to most of you as women only account for 30% of the workforce in large global technology firms.
